I’m sold!! I have no need to go back to ‘real’ bacon. Yeah ok, so it’s not the same, but it’s delicious, has a meaty texture and has the added benefits of being a) non carcinogenic b) low sodium or any other nasty chemical additives c) good for you!

Ingredients
- 1 packet tempeh (approx 250g) sliced thinly
- 2 tbsp Coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions
- Mix the aminos, oil, paprika and maple in a flat dish then lay the tempeh in to marinate. You can give it as little as a few minutes on each side, or as long as you have.
- Heat the coconut oil in a large frying pan and fry the tempeh for a few minutes on each side.
- Depending on whether you like your 'bacon' dry and crispy or not, you can save the remaining marinade and pour it over the bacon once cooked for extra yummyness.
