Turkey is a great, healthy alternative to beef for a chilli and this great recipe doesn’t sacrifice on taste. The inclusion of the sweet potatoes make it a nice filling meal so all you need to add is some nice steamed veggies or a salad and you’re great to go.

Ingredients
- 2 sweet potatoes peeled and cut into 3/4 in pieces
- 2 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp mild chilli powder
- 500 g minced turkey
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tin black beans rinsed and drained
- handful fresh coriander chopped
- 2 spring onions chopped
- Jalapenos

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190oC
- Place the potatoes on a baking tray with the oil, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and bake for about 20-30 minutes, until soft
- Meanwhile, gently cook the onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, chilli powder and a pinch of salt in the coconut oil or ghee
- After about 8-10 minutes add the turkey and continue to cook gently until it is browned
- Add the tomatoes plus about 1/2 cup of water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 minutes
- Add the beans and sweet potatoes and simmer for another 15 minutes
- Serve with the coriander, spring onions and Jalapenos on top
