One lick of this whisked me straight back to the 1980’s, camping in France with my family – this is the only time we were allowed chocolate spread EVERY DAY!!! Like all my favourite recipes it’s super easy to make.

Ingredients
- 375 g hazelnuts
- 150 ml maple syrup
- 3 tbsp raw cacao powder

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200oC
- Bake the hazelnuts for about 10 mins then leave to cool
- Blend in a food processor for about 10 mins until they totally break down
- Then add the maple syrup and cacao and blend again before gradually adding 150ml water
